Our History

Among Friends Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) Center opened its doors as the first licensed ADHC facility in Ventura County on March 19, 2001.  Since its opening, Among Friends ADHC remains at the forefront of quality services and the largest ADHC in Ventura County.

OUR MISSION

To provide our participants with a supportive, nurturing, family-centered environment that promotes wellness, independence, self-esteem and recognizes and celebrates the value of the individual.

We provide enjoyable, supervised activities, medical care, great hot nutritious meals, and door-to-door transportation— all in a warm, home-like setting of Among Friends ADHC Center.

We offer a daytime program with combination of nursing, rehabilitative and psychosocial services in a setting that is enjoyable, emotionally supportive and informal.  It brings patients together in a group to promote socialization, provide peer support and strengthen patient self-esteem and motivation for self-care.
